Team Anesthesia Insurance: Additional coverage for anesthesia

The anesthesia coverage for horses

The Equipe Anesthesia Insurance provides additional security for surgeries: it covers the risk of death due to anesthesia or subsequent shock for 14 days. This coverage is not included in standard horse insurance and can be important for planned surgeries. A medical certificate from a certified veterinarian is required for acceptance, and the application must be submitted no later than 48 hours before the anesthesia procedure.

Death from anesthesia

Covers death directly caused by anesthesia during a planned procedure, within the insurance period.

Shock after anesthesia

Coverage for death due to shock from the anesthesia itself, according to the terms and conditions.

14-day validity

Coverage is valid until 14 days after the planned anesthetic procedure, as stated in the policy.

  • No anesthesia

Death without actual anesthesia being administered is not covered by this insurance.

  • Other causes

Death due to illness, accident or surgery itself, without a direct link with anesthesia, is not insured.

  • No health declaration

If there is no valid certificate from a qualified veterinarian, there is no right to compensation.
