Castration insurance for stallions

The Equipe Castration Insurance covers the risk of death or emergency euthanasia of a stallion resulting from castration. This insurance lasts for 14 days and is intended for stallions with normally developed, externally located testicles. Castration must be performed by a certified veterinarian, and a prior health certificate is required. For castrations performed under full anesthesia, separate Surgical Insurance is required.

Death by castration

Emergency euthanasia after complications

Compensation for necessary euthanasia due to serious complications after castration.

  • Castration under full anesthesia

Procedures performed under full anesthesia are not covered by this insurance; a separate Surgical Insurance policy is available for this purpose.

  • Abnormal testicles

Stallions without normally developed testicles remaining outside the body are excluded from covering.

  • Applications submitted after the deadline

Requests submitted less than 24 hours before the scheduled castration will not be accepted.
